I think you might be wasting your time on this one. I've seen the same
point addressed here so many times, that I think I can predict exactly what
the response will be:
1 - "We don't hate the sinner, we hate the sin."
2 - "*I* don't hate you, God hates you (or hates what you're doing, etc)."
3 - "That's not hate; it's love - you just can't see it because the demon
that inhabits your soul is blinding you."
4 - "Those people aren't REAL Christians."
5 - "The wages of sin is death. We can do whatever we want to you because
God has condemned you."
There may be others, but those are the most familiar rants I've heard
around here. I just *love* the way any offense, legal or moral, attributed
to a non-Christian is given as PROOF POSITIVE that all non-Christians are
that way, but when a nominal Christian messes up, well, that's not the same
thing at all. Slippery, man, slippery.
Of course, the old "Lucifer is deceiving you" line is a beauty, too. Since
you and I are not Christians, we OBVIOUSLY are being deceived by Satan if
we're happy with our belief systems. There is NO WAY that a TRUE CHRISTIAN
could be deceived in the same manner, even seeing as how Satan is a deity
of theirs, not ours.
And while we're on the topic of illogical logic, how about the famous
Christian use of the Bible as "proof" of the existance of the Christian
God, and the use of "God's Word" as "proof" of the truth of the Bible? Love
that circular logic, don't you?
