From _Skeptic's UFO Newsletter_, by Philip J. Klass, Nov. 1993. All emphasis in original article. _Travis Walton's ETs Resemble Those In Betty/Barney Hill TV Movie:_ _Travis Walton_ claims he did not see "The UFO Incident"--the NBC-TV novie version of the Betty/Barney Hill abduction--when it aired on Oct. 20, 1975, barely two weeks before he himself (allegedly) was abducted. But there is a remarkable similarity in Walton's description of the ET faces, as reported in his book, "The Walton Experience," which was published nearly a decade before the "new look" ET emerged in Budd Hopkins' book "Intruders." The eyes of the "new-look" ETs have _no lids_. But in Walton's book, he said "_Their huge lids slid quicklY down over the glassv bubbles of their eyes, then flipped open again like the release of roll-up window shades._" (Emphasis added.) The ETs in the NBC-TV movie had large _eyelids and in one scene the lids moved exactly as Walton described_. Walton said his ETs had "miniature _rounded noses_ [with] small _oval_ nostrils." (Emphasis added.) So did the ETs shown in the NBC-TV movie. The typical "new-look" ET has no defined nose, only two holes. Walton said the ears of his ETs had "tiny crinkled lobes," as did the ETs in the NBC-TV movie. The "new-look" ET has no discernible ear lobes. Walton said his ETs had "_thin-lipped mouths_," as did those in the NBC-TV movie. "New-look" ETs usually are described as having _no_ mouth, or simply a thin slit _with no lips_. [_SUN WONDERS: Could this be only a remarkable coincidence?_]
