Since some of the materials which describe the $cientology cult could be
considered to be copywritten materials, I have censored myself and The
Skeptic Tank by deleting any and all possible text files which describes
the cult's hidden mythologies. I have elected to quote just a bit of the
questionable text according to the "Fair Use" legal findings afforded to
those who report. - Fredric L. Rice, The Skeptic Tank, 09/Sep/95

Subject: Why Scientology is threatening Diane's life...

1) Diane Richardson is a librarian/researcher of the
highest caliber. Not only does she have enormous
data bases at her finger tips, she is dogged and thorough
investigator who allows very little bullshit to get passed
her. This puts the Church of Scientology at a great disadvantage,
and so they would like to silence her, evidentually permanantly.
2) Diane is a close personal friend of Dennis Erlich, and Dennis is
causing the cult enormous problems by beating the pants off Helana Korbin
and Earle Cooley in court. Like other authoritarian regimes,
the Church of Scientology knows that by putting preasure
on an enemy's friends, the target -- in this case Dennis Erlich --
will frequently yeild, to save loved one's from coming to harm.
These are my best guesses as to why Robert Marcus has issued
a threat against the life of Scientology critic Diane Richardson.
