Will OS bashers please shut up! Information about the UltraSound Daily Digest (such as mail addresses, request servers, ftp sites, etc., etc.) can be found at the end of the Digest. *** HEY!!! *** Before you ask a question, *** READ THE FAQ ***. It's available on the request server and the ftp sites, or check the newsgroup archives. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sun, 11 Apr 1993 13:59:01 +0000 From: Clarke Brunt Subject: archive.epas & midimon Message-ID: <0096ADF9.EB56E1C0.4637@lsl.co.uk> Can anyone who knows about these things tell me why the archive site is always referred to as archive.epas.utoronto.ca, whilst to get anywhere, I have to use klingon.epas.utoronto.ca??? I have downloaded some of the Windows MIDI programs from the above archive. All is well except for MIDI Monitor 2.01. This comes as an EXE and two DLLs. It just won't run for me - won't even produce a window. I don't think it's anything trivial, like not having the DLLs in the PATH, so has anyone any ideas? I've just thought of something else. What MIDI controller messages does the GUS respond to? Does anyone have a list? ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 Apr 93 16:49:08 CDT From: Michael J Stumpf Subject: Dos 6 fixed problems? Message-ID: <9304112149.AA06530@tamsun.tamu.edu> Strange.. I installed dos 6, and suddenly wing commander 2 doesn't fry on my machine, but ultima7 stutters. Don't know about U7 part 2. Any similar experiences, anyone? I'm also in the process of creating c header files for the turbo pascal gus library... I'll release that on epas when I'm finished. Date: 93-03-29 01:20:41 EDT From: Sierras Posted on: America Online The GUS will most likely become a major player in the field of sound cards, but it will take a little more time. I'm sure we will be supporting the card in the near future. Thanx, Bill :}) "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" :) You have the money, you have the power. Message-ID: <9304111426.tn70458@aol.com> Hello All -- Just had a couple of questions: First, what are these Miles drivers I saw talked about earlier? There seems to be a lot of interest in them, and I'm curious. Second, is there, or will there ever be, a way to have the GUS work with general MIDI? I noticed X-wing had general MIDI support, and it seemed as though it would be nice. Probably really simple questions, but I still rather new to the Gravis. Thanks!
