   COLORADO  CITY  (AP)  --  A justice of the peace has ordered a
self-described apostle of the Nudist Christian Church jailed  for
contempt of court.

   Janice  Herr,  the secretary of Colorado City Justice I. McKay
Heaton, said Heaton on Wednesday found Zevs Cosmos, 37, a  native
of  Greece,  in contempt for failing to pay $435 fines Heaton had
levied.

   Cosmos had been found guilty March 18 on  several  misdemeanor
charges,  including  public  indecency, for walking unclad around
Colorado City in protests against  the  polygamist  practices  of
most of the community's residents.

   Ms.   Herr said Cosmos would serve a 43-day term in the Mohave
County jail in Kingman unless he paid the fines. -
