According to an Associated Press article, of May 5, 1993,
investigators found 200 firearms in the ruins of Mt. Carmel.
That's about two weapons per person in the compound.
According to the Houston Post, of March 9, 1993, p A8, the computed
Texas average is about 4 weapons per person.
Note that none of this means anything, as there is no upper limit
on the number of firearms a person may legally own. A supposed
"excess" of firearms is not sufficient legal cause for imposition
of the death penalty.
