This is wonderful. I get to Witness as an atheist.
Verily I say unto you that one day, as I walked down the road
to my local over-priced 24-hour mart, I was not filled with
the Spirit, nor was I visited by a blinding White Light. And
as I thumbed through the magazine rack looking for a copy
of Mother Jones, an Angel wearing a satin robe by Halsted did
not visit me. And the Angel did not say to me, "Rejoice, for
you have found favor in the eyes of the Lord." Then I didn't
hear an unearthly choir, nor was I granted visions and neither
did I speak prophecy. And when, at last, I had found my magazine
and went to pay for it, Behold! my language was not an unknown
language, but good old English, and my diction was clear.
Ah, I'm so glad to get that off my chest. I always thought if
I told anyone about this, they'd think I was crazy.
