Sean McCullough 13 Oct 92 03:26:00 RA> "Just imagine a base of Wiccans, Neopagans, and Occultists RA> (a group which is as large, I would guess, as the Evangelical RA> Bible-Thumper group, albeit more quiet) all making their feelings RA> known on issues. If we could swing elections as well as the RA> Radical Religious Right could, we'd be a force to be reckoned RA> with. Unfortunately, you are either gravely underestimating the fundamentalist population (majority of the registrABLE voters in most of the former Confederate States) or gravely OVER-estimating "our" numbers. If we were as strong as the fundamentalists are (in numbers), there would be no more of the likes of Jesse Helms (Sieg-Heil, North Carolina). According to a recent book, _Minority_Party_, the fundamentalists have a large following among the Reagan-era yuppies, who would rather see us lose all freedom to be what we are than face the possibility of their children even learning about alternatives, much less embracing them. Most Pagans (and members of other alternative communities), in most places I have been in contact with them, vote. But it isn't yet enough to countermand all the votes cast by Agnes Bluehair's political supporters. Were the above statement false, the Senate, the House, the Presidency, and all 50 State Legislatures and Governors would be either Libertarian or Socialist. With the mediocre crap they're offering, the Democraps and Republicanazis wouldn't stand a chance. And all the above-mentioned offices, or at least the vast majority of them, would be filled by non-LAWYERS as well. But there is "hope and help in other spells" (Liber AL vel Legis). The "spells" in question are being cast by the fundamentalistic parents dominating the current crop of high-schoolers. I ask you to consider that the massive Satanic culture among modern urban American youth has little else as a cause for being, save the fundamentalist Christianity of their parents. Back in the days when most parents belonged to some form of "mainstream" Christianity, our high schools weren't crawling with young Satanists; in fact, Satanism, especially *de-closeted* Satanism, was essentially *unknown* in this nation until *after* the ilk of Jerry Falwell and Bob Larson became household names in this country (USA). Once all of those well-formed enemies of fundamentalist Christianity -- the current youth Satanists -- get THEIR votes, and start using them, the fundamentalists WILL see their power disappear FOREVER. Satanist and Setian parents will tend to INSIST that their children remain aware of the alternatives open to them, whether Agnes Bluehair or Jesse Helms like it or not. And these same adults will DEMAND their freedom to do what they Will, whether or not it complies with white Protestant social norms; and they will leave THAT personal freedom as their legacy to their nation and their children (who will be markedly fewer in number than their over-reproduced Christian forebears). And the Wiccans, Pagans, etc. will also benefit, as at long last they will have enough political friends to carry an election -- something that they do NOT have now, unfortunately!! peace and freedom -- Sean * SLMR 2.1a * Elect NOBODY in 1992 and make it STICK! ANARCHY NOW!
